Job summary

Patterson Companies, Inc. in Manchester, NH, seeks a licensed pharmacist to lead prescription processing, ensure regulatory compliance and maintain safe operations across pharmacy and warehouse.

You will manage and mentor staff, partner with sales and leadership, and build strong relationships with veterinarians and office teams while upholding high service standards. Responsibilities

  • Compliant Prescription Processing: Ensure prescriptions meet all regulatory requirements; provide feedback to maintain safe processing; validate accuracy and follow up on discrepancies; maintain secure, clean and safe pharmacy/warehouse.
  • Business Planning: Set direction and prioritize, allocate resources, set and meet deadlines; problem solve and propose solutions; regular meetings with manager to discuss priorities and operations; partner with sales and leadership to resolve issues; communicate with veterinarians and office staff to build relationships.
  • People Management: Mentor staff, measure performance, conduct reviews; resolve issues; motivate staff and recognize achievements; set direction, assign roles, and manage workload and deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Move product weighing up to 50 pounds and operate equipment; occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.
  • Environmental Factors: Typical warehouse environment with exposure to variable conditions.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience; background in veterinary pharmacy.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Compliant Prescription Processing
    • Ensure all prescriptions dispensed meet all federal, state and local regulatory requirements
    • Provide constructive feedback to maintain safe and efficient prescription processing
    • Validate accuracy of all prescriptions and follow up on any discrepancies in the prescription filling process
    • Maintain secure, clean and safe pharmacy/warehouse
  • Business Planning
    • Set direction and prioritize, allocate resources, set and meet deadlines
    • Problem solve through issues to identify, analyze and recommend solutions
    • Stay regularly with manager to discuss business priorities and current operations
    • Partner with sales team and leadership to maintain open lines of communication and resolve systematic issues
    • Communicate with veterinarians and office staff to build strong working relationships
  • People Management
    • Encourage the growth of all employees through skill development
    • Mentor staff, measure performance, and complete and/or provide input on performance reviews
    • Resolve employee issues in an effective and consistent manner
    • Motivate staff to perform at their highest level and recognize their achievements
    • Set direction and priority, define job roles, distribute workload and set deadlines
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited school of pharmacy

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience
  • Background in veterinary pharmacy
Physical Demands

Must be able to move product weighing up to 50 pounds onto conveyor belt up to 10 times per hour. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time. Must be able to operate a keyboard and other machinery as necessary. This position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity.

Environmental Factors

This position requires low exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures, high voltage, dirt or dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, hazardous chemicals and hazardous machinery. Working environment is a typical warehouse environment.

Compensation Range

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $54.47 - $72.68
