Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of South Carolina seeks a licensed pharmacist to join our Charleston team. You will prepare and dispense medications, review orders, verify safety, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

Ideal candidates hold a PharmD or Pharmacy degree, are licensed in South Carolina, and have at least one year of related experience. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential to our mission of extraordinary care.

Qualifications

Pharmacist degree or PharmD required.
State Pharmacist License with no restrictions.
1+ years of related experience.
Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing to patients, including filling, order entry, and packaging.
Review completed orders and cycle-fill medications to ensure accuracy.
Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing based on allergies and interactions.
Interpret prescriptions, exercise professional judgment for safety and legality.
Adhere to Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations and compounding guidelines.
Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies when needed.
Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses, etc.
Evaluate inventory levels and place orders when below par.
Oversee technicians and provide feedback to supervisor.
