Job summary

Weis Markets is hiring a Pharmacist for our Franklin, VA location. The role focuses on accurate dispensing, immunization, MTM programs where available, and pharmacy operations supervised by the Pharmacy Manager.

You will train and coach pharmacy staff, manage inventory, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide counseling to customers while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.), or equivalent in Pharmacy.
• Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions
• Build profitable business and script growth through clinical programs including immunization and MTM
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff on duty
• Train, coach, and manage Pharmacy associates
• Assist Pharmacy Manager in overseeing the entire pharmacy during absences
• Maintain security and comply with federal/state laws
• Interact with physicians to resolve issues on prescriptions
