Job summary

Kroger pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to deliver high‑quality patient care in a retail setting. You will fulfill prescriptions, counsel customers, and ensure HIPAA compliance while maintaining a clean, professional image and efficient operations.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and an active state license, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Effective oral/written communication skills.
• 1 year of retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with high accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure pharmacies comply with all local, state and federal laws (including HIPAA).
• Maintain a professional image through appearance, conduct and attitude and the pharmacy's standards.
• Achieve knowledge of the trade area, customers and competition.
• Create a positive pharmacy department image through service and cooperation.
• Monitor stock replenishment, inventory levels, records, security and budgeting per policy.
• Maintain proper records and security on scheduled drugs.
• Follow procedures for handling pharmacy products from authorized sources.
• Ensure all accuracy tools are utilized appropriately.
• Establish/maintain all record keeping practices for legal compliance.
