Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support patient care and daily pharmacy operations at the Keller, TX location. You will assist the pharmacist, counsel on medications, and help with insurance processing and prescription intake while maintaining a safe, customer-first environment.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, proper dispensing, and collaboration with prescribers. A current intern license and enrollment in a US pharmacy program are required, with part-time scheduling available.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
• Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create welcoming environment for customers and answer product questions.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical products and discuss with customers/prescribers.
• Provide drug counseling to customers.
• Assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
• Dispense the correct medication and contact prescribers for authorization as needed.
• Bag prescriptions and deliver to customers accurately.
• Process third-party insurance information for customers.
• Notify management of accidents and report safety or security issues.
