Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist the pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care at our Tigard site. You will help counsel patients, process prescriptions, and support immunization services under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Active enrollment in a US School of Pharmacy and a valid state Pharmacy Intern license are required. The role includes handling prescriptions, insurance coordination, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license.

Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates.
Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer questions about products.
Provide drug counseling and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
Assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system accurately.
Dispense medications and contact prescribers for authorization.
Process third-party insurance information for customers and communicate with insurers as needed.
Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist.
Maintain department cleanliness and safety standards.
