Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy and holding a state-issued Pharmacy Intern license are required.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and the ability to discuss them with customers and prescribers is expected.
• Comfort with immunizations under pharmacist supervision and providing OTC recommendations.
• Ability to input patient and prescription information accurately into the system.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in providing exceptional customer service.
• Answer questions about products and locate items to help customers.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss OTC recommendations.
• Input patient data and prescriptions into the pharmacy system accurately.
• Dispense medications and contact prescribers for authorization when needed.
• Process third-party insurance information and facilitate charges for customers.
• Input and interpret prescriptions and maintain stock levels.
• Assist with immunizations under supervision and maintain a safe, clean department.
