Job summary

Kroger is seeking an Pharmacy Intern to support the pharmacy team in Fontana, CA. You will assist with prescription processing, patient interactions, immunizations under supervision, and insurance coordination while upholding Kroger's Customer 1st strategy.

Actively enrolled in a US pharmacy program and holding a state Pharmacy Intern license are required. This role offers a pathway to growth within a large national retailer focused on safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Intern license currently issued by the state.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering product questions.
• Provide drug counseling to customers and discuss pharmaceutical products with customers and prescribers.
• Assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations and input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy system.
• Dispense medications, contact prescribers for authorization, and process third-party insurance information.
• Provide immunizations under supervision of a pharmacist and manage prescription incidents.
• Maintain a safe, clean department and report safety risks or illegal activity.
