Job summary

Northside Hospital, a leading health care system in the Atlanta area, seeks a qualified pharmacist to join its clinical team. The role involves providing drug information to nurses, physicians and other providers, and ensuring safe, effective drug therapy for patients of all ages.

Ideal candidates will have graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy, with hospital pharmacy experience preferred and strong communication skills to collaborate across care teams.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience in retail pharmacy preferred.
  • Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers.
  • Advises on drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy.
  • Serves patients across all ages: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

REQUIRED:

  1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.

PREFERRED:

  1. One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.
  2. Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.
  3. Good communication skills.
