Summary

As a professional trained in medication use and medication management systems, Pharmacists are responsible for ensuring the safety and appropriateness of medication orders, proper storage, preparation, and delivery of drugs to patient care areas according to professional standards. They collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure safe and effective medication administration and monitoring. Pharmacists also ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and policies, including those from The Joint Commission and Grady Health System.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy required
  • Licensure or license eligibility (must obtain within 120 days of employment) in the state of Georgia
  • Previous institutional pharmacy experience preferred
