Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe and appropriate medication orders and to support effective medication management across patient care areas.

The pharmacist will collaborate with nursing and medical teams, ensure compliance with regulations and policies, and uphold high standards of safety and quality in patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensure or license eligible (must obtain within 90 days of employment) in state of Georgia.
• Doctor of Pharmacy and previous institutional pharmacy experience preferred.
• Completion of PGY1 residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medication orders are safe and appropriate.
• Drugs are stored, prepared and delivered to patient care areas according to professional standards.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and staff to ensure safe and effective administration and monitoring of medications.
• Ensure compliance with state/federal laws, Joint Commission standards, and Grady Health System policies.

Job Summary

The Pharmacist ensures medication orders are safe and appropriate; drugs are stored, prepared and delivered to patient care areas according to generally accepted professional standards. Collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other staff to ensure safe and effective administration and monitoring of medications. Ensures compliance with relevant state and federal laws and regulations, The Joint Commission medication management standards, and Grady Health System (GHS) policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
