Job summary

Neighborhood LTC Pharmacy in Olathe, KS is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a patient-focused team dedicated to high-quality care for individuals with IDD. You will oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor staff in a collaborative, ESOP-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has a PharmD, an active license, 2–3 years of supervisory experience, and a passion for safe, effective medication management and strong partnerships with healthcare providers.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active state pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist, supervisory preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy and ensure safe, effective pharmaceutical services.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff including technicians and support personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, including controlled substances and patient privacy.
  • Provide patient consultations, MTM services, and counseling on prescriptions.
  • Maintain inventory control and stocking of medications and supplies.
  • Handle medication orders, prescriptions, and refills in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to improve operations and patient satisfaction.
  • Foster collaborative culture among staff and healthcare professionals.
  • Represent the pharmacy with the community and maintain relationships with patients and providers.

We specialize in customized medication packaging and delivery services, all designed to support greater independence and quality of life for those we serve. Our team is committed to patient-focused care, operational excellence, and fostering strong partnerships with healthcare providers. We are currently seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our pharmacy team in Olathe, KS.

Job Responsibilities


  • Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff, including technicians and support personnel.

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including the oversight of controlled substances, medication dispensing, and patient privacy laws.

  • Provide patient consultations, including medication therapy management (MTM), counseling on prescriptions, and offering advice on over-the-counter medications.

  • Maintain inventory control and ensure appropriate stocking of medications and supplies.

  • Handle medication orders, prescriptions, and refills in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Monitor the pharmacy’s performance metrics and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.

  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work culture among pharmacy staff and fellow healthcare professionals.

  • Represent the pharmacy in the community and maintain positive relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.

  • Support the business's employee-ownership culture by encouraging and fostering employee involvement and contribution to the pharmacy’s success.
