Neighborhood LTC Pharmacy in Bangor, ME seeks a Pharmacist in Charge to lead our patient-centered team. As an ESOP employee-owned pharmacy, we value collaboration, quality care, and compliant operations while supporting Independence forIDD patients.

The PIC will oversee daily operations, supervise staff, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct MTM, manage inventory, and foster strong partnerships with providers and the community.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree from an accredited program and active pharmacist license.
• Minimum 2–3 years of licensed pharmacist experience, supervisory preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure safe, effective services.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff, including technicians.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substances and privacy laws.
• Provide patient consultations and MTM services.
• Maintain inventory control and medication stocking.
• Process orders, prescriptions, and refills accurately.
• Monitor performance metrics and seek efficiency improvements.

We specialize in customized medication packaging and delivery services, all designed to support greater independence and quality of life for those we serve. We are currently seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our pharmacy team in Bangor, ME

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services.


• Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff, including technicians and support personnel.


• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including the oversight of controlled substances, medication dispensing, and patient privacy laws.


• Provide patient consultations, including medication therapy management (MTM), counseling on prescriptions, and offering advice on over-the-counter medications.


• Maintain inventory control and ensure appropriate stocking of medications and supplies.


• Handle medication orders, prescriptions, and refills in a timely and accurate manner.


• Monitor the pharmacy's performance metrics and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.


• Foster a collaborative and supportive work culture among pharmacy staff and fellow healthcare professionals.


• Represent the pharmacy in the community and maintain positive relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.


• Support the business's employee-ownership culture by encouraging and fostering employee involvement and contribution to the pharmacy's success.

Qualifications:

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution. Licensing: Active state pharmacist license in good standing.
