Job summary

PharMerica in Virginia is seeking a Pharmacist In Charge to oversee daily operations in a non-retail LTC setting. You will supervise staff, ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and partner with management to drive quality improvements and cost containment.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekends, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth within a growing national network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent.
• Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in VA.
• Demonstrated pharmacy experience in long-term care.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.
• Supervise and direct pharmacy staff in scheduling, purchasing, and clinical responsibilities.
• Collaborate with pharmacy management to implement efficient daily operations and quality improvement strategies.
• Provide clinical and technical support to pharmacy and regional staff, fostering teamwork.
• Respond promptly to pharmaceutical inquiries from customers and internal staff.

Skills
