Job summary

Via Care Community Health Center is seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to oversee regulatory compliance, staff supervision, medication management programs, and quality initiatives in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting.

The PIC will serve as the designated responsible pharmacist under California regulations, ensuring DEA/HIPAA/340B compliance while delivering advanced clinical pharmacy services and leading population health efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (RPh) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school.
• Current license in good standing with the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification.
• At least two years of experience as a licensed pharmacist; community health center experience preferred.
• Conversational in Medical-Pharmacy Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance and serve as Pharmacist in Charge.
• Ensure DEA, HIPAA, state laws, and 340B program compliance.
• Manage staffing, policies, and workflow in the pharmacy.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services and collaborate with care teams.
• Lead quality improvement and population health initiatives.
