Job summary

VPI Compounding Pharmacy in Centennial, Colorado is seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our growing 503A compounding operation. You will manage daily pharmacy activities, emphasize quality and compliance, and guide a team of pharmacists and staff.

The PIC will oversee reviews, compounding practices, and records while collaborating with Quality, Production, and leadership to improve patient care and operations. Competitive benefits accompany this full-time role.

Qualifications

• PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Active Colorado pharmacist license in good standing.
• 3+ years of compounding pharmacy experience preferred.
• Previous PIC, supervisory, or pharmacy leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, USP requirements, and compounding standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Additional state pharmacist licenses are preferred.
• Must be willing and eligible to obtain additional state licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated Pharmacist in Charge and oversee daily pharmacy operations.
• Ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, USP <795>, <797>, and <800> requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and support pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
• Oversee prescription review, compounding practices, dispensing, and quality standards.
• Maintain pharmacy records, licenses, registrations, and training requirements.
• Partner with Quality, Production, and leadership to improve pharmacy operations and patient care.
