Advatix Inc. is looking for a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy in Galena, IL. Responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications, managing pharmacy technicians, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of retail pharmacy management experience and hold an Illinois Pharmacist License.

Competitive salary of $150,000 – $155,000 and relocation assistance available.

Primary Role

Preparing and dispensing appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, leading a team of pharmacy technicians and managing the overall day-to-day pharmacy responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions

• Review and execute provider’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality.
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster.
• Maintain full control over medication inventory, stocking and labeling medicine.
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient.
• Ensures that the Pharmacy and its employees are aware and compliant with local facilities policies.
• Responsible for the daily work of Pharmacy Technicians, including providing input into performance evaluations and advising Senior Management of any behavioral and/or performance issues.
• Responsible for managing the Pharmacy Technicians schedules.

Experience

3 years retail pharmacy management exp. Must be able to utilize Patient Management System in the Pharmacy
