Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide expert pharmacy consulting and patient education, including immunizations and medication therapy management. You will ensure safe dispensing, educate on cost-effective options, and support the pharmacy team in a collaborative environment.

The role requires a BS in Pharmacy or PharmD, current licensure, and immunizer certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days). Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment

Education
