Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a staff pharmacist in California to support hospital pharmacy operations under the Director of Pharmacy. You will help ensure drug therapy needs and collaborate with medical staff and nursing services.

The ideal candidate holds a CA-licensed Pharm.D. and, preferably, a hospital residency, with at least two years of hospital pharmacy experience and familiarity with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacist in CA (R.Ph. or Pharm.D) required.
• Prefer Pharm.D. with hospital residency.
• Prefer at least 2 years hospital pharmacy experience.
• Familiar with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

Under the auspices of the Director of Pharmacy, the staff pharmacist is responsible for assuring drug therapy needs. This individual establishes rapport with other departments as well as the medical staff and nursing services. He/she supervises department personnel in the absence of the Director or the Assistant Director.

• Individual must be a registered pharmacist, R.Ph. or Pharm.D in the State of California.
• Individual shall preferably have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed a hospital residency.
• Individual shall preferably have a minimum of two (2) years experience in hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent.
• Individual shall be familiar with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice.
