Job summary

Desert Care Network's JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, CA seeks a staff pharmacist on a per diem basis. You will ensure drug therapy needs, collaborate with departments and medical staff, and supervise department personnel in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director.

Requirements include California pharmacist license (R.Ph. or Pharm.D.), Doctor of Pharmacy preferred with hospital residency, and at least two years of hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered California pharmacist (R.Ph. or Pharm.D.).
• Doctor of Pharmacy degree and hospital residency preferred.
• At least two years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Familiar with unit-dose systems, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Under the Director/Assistant Director, assure drug therapy needs.
• Establish rapport with departments, medical staff, and nursing services.
• Supervise department personnel in the absence of the Director or the Assistant Director.
