Job summary

Williams Bros Health Care Pharmacy is looking for a Staff Pharmacist to lead, direct, and manage daily pharmacy activities at our Austin location in Indiana.

We offer full-time or part-time roles, on-site hours Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. with Saturday rotation. A valid Indiana Pharmacist License is required, with DEA knowledge and regulatory compliance essential.

Qualifications

• Indiana Pharmacist License is required.
• Doctorate or Pharm.D. degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all medication orders for appropriate and rational therapy, checking dosages, interactions, and adverse reactions.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local drug control regulations, including DEA forms.
• Responds quickly and professionally to customer inquiries in-store and by phone.
• Resolves customer concerns and coordinates corrective actions.
• Ensures prescriptions are filled accurately by Pharmacy Technicians.
• Exercise professional judgment to mitigate potential patient problems.
• Keeps Pharmacy Manager informed of unusual concerns or conditions.

Description

Williams Bros Health Care Pharmacy is lookingfor aStaff Pharmacistto lead, direct, and manage the daily pharmacy activities. Expectations including ensuring optimal customer service, prescription verification, managing pharmacy team and workflow and following all State and Federal regulations.

We are looking for a full-time or part time Staff Pharmacist to join our Austin location.

Store Hours: M-F 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with rotation of Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities:

• Reviews all medication orders for appropriate and rational therapy, checking for proper dosages, potential drug interactions, and adverse reactions.
• Assures compliance with federal, state, and local drug control regulations relating to pharmaceutical acquisitions by keeping abreast of and adhering to new and existing regulations. This position also maintains DEA forms secured for review by DEA, FDA and Board of Pharmacy.
• Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries (patients and referral sources), both in the store and on the phone, with regard to supplies and prescriptions to the extent of the law and informational needs.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure the prescriptions are filled accurately by Pharmacy Techs before they go out.
• Exercise professional judgment to mitigate potential patient problems.
• Keeps Pharmacy Manager and other relevant staff informed in a timely manner of any unusual concerns or conditions relative to staff, patients, families and physicians.
