Job summary

The successful candidate will maintain inventory, assist with staff scheduling in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, and uphold health and safety standards within the department. A Pharmacy Doctorate or PharmD and a State Pharmacist License are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D required.
• State Pharmacist License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory control and stock ordering to meet patient demand.
• Weigh, measure, mix medications and dispense prescription and non-prescription items.
• Perform patient immunizations regularly.
• Schedule staff and manage performance in manager's absence.
• Train and develop department personnel to improve performance and reduce turnover.
• Control department expenses and monitor labor costs.
• Respond to customer questions and provide counseling on prescriptions.
• Maintain safe, clean department per standards.
• Maintain department records and submit pharmacy reports.
• Ensure smooth operation by cooperating with coworkers.
• Perform duties of staff as required.
