Job summary

GEM Edwards Pharmacy, a division of GEMCORE, is seeking a highly motivated part-time or PRN Pharmacist with interest in full-time in the near future to thrive in a dynamic environment located in Hudson, OH. Hours are flexible and ongoing training and development are offered.

You will ensure responsible use of medications, maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, and work to implement updated SOPs and accreditation standards within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ACPE accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• State of Ohio Pharmacist License in good standing.
• Additional state pharmacist licenses preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of third-party adjudication and resolution.
• Understanding of accreditation and performance standards.
• Ability to communicate across a multi-discipline environment.
• Strong telephone, customer service and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the responsible use of medications and all aspects of pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies and state boards of pharmacy.
• Help maintain policies and procedures for procurement, storage, and dispensing of drugs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee, track, and implement new SOPs to ensure compliance with current accreditation standards (ACHC, URAC, NABP).
