Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care including counseling, drug information, and clinical monitoring. You will fill medications, supervise staff, and support pharmacy management as needed in a hospital environment.

The role requires Texas licensure or eligibility, and 0–2 years of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. This is a full‑time on‑site position with generous benefits and career development

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for Texas licensure
• 0-2 years experience in pharmacy services; hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Demonstrates high level of organizational skills
• Demonstrates independent functioning
• CPR Certification within 60 days of hire; PALS Certification is recommended for those that work in the Pediatric Pharmacy Satellite; ACLS Certification is recommended for those that work in Adult Critical Care Pharmacy Satellite.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
• Fill orders for medications and monitor patients' drug therapies.
• Provide drug information and supervise/directions for supportive staff.
• In the absence of Pharmacy Management, may assume the duties of the Director of Pharmacy.
