Job summary

Johns Hopkins Health System is seeking a Pharmacist Coordinator in Compounding to work with the patient care team to promote the safe and effective use of medications. Responsibilities include in-person and telephonic patient care, staff education, and coordinating learning initiatives in outpatient pharmacies.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Maryland pharmacist license, and active CPR certification, with ASHP residency and additional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent two years of experience.
• ASHP-accredited residency preferred but not required.
• Maryland pharmacist license is required.
• Advanced certifications (BCPS, BCACP, etc.) preferred but not required.
• Vaccination certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patient care team to promote safe and effective medication use.
• Provide patient care over the telephone and in person.
• Precept interns, students, and residents and coordinate learning initiatives.
• Interpret, dispense, and verify medications ordered by physicians or other prescribers.
