Job summary

Wheeling Hospital Inc. in West Virginia is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will dispense drugs and pharmaceutical preparations, provide pharmaceutical consultations to doctors and nurses, and participate in purchasing and IV admixture activities.

The role requires active state licenses (WV, OH, MD, PA as applicable) and experience in hospital pharmacy. You will support quality assurance, floor inspections, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Active state pharmacist license(s) as required by the state where services are provided.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred; internship acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Dispense drugs and pharmaceutical preparations as ordered by physicians.
• Provide pharmaceutical consultation to doctors or nurses.
• Question prescriptions when necessary to ensure accuracy.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager with purchasing of drugs from vendors.
• Liaise with sales representatives as needed.
• Perform drug checks and inspections on floors as required.
• Support IV admixture program with order verification.
• Attend pharmacy meetings as delegated.
• Assist with Pharmacy Quality Assurance program.
• Assist with Pharmacy floor inspection reports.
