Job summary

Peoples Rx in Austin's South Lamar area is looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join our team. You will dispense prescriptions accurately, counsel patients on medications, and collaborate with prescribers and technicians to ensure safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacist experience; independent or community pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a busy pharmacy team
• Schedule flexibility, including rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance
• Counsel patients on medications, proper use, adherence, and potential concerns
• Provide knowledgeable, compassionate patient and customer service
• Collaborate with prescribers, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Support continued improvement of pharmacy services
