Fleming County Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a pharmacist to join our clinical team in Kentucky. This full-time day-shift role emphasizes medication therapy management, drug information, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and students.

Formación

• Pharmacist licensure in Kentucky required; PharmD preferred.
• Critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, patients, and students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy prior to entry.
• Checks accuracy after filling by technicians.
• Works in a high-stress environment with appropriate action when needed.

How you'll contribute

A pharmacistwho excels in this role:

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry.
• Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Required; Doctoral Degree Preferred
• Pharmacy License in the state of Kentucky
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
