Job summary

Fleming County Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the full-time night shift (3x12, 7p-7a). The role involves direct patient care in a 7-bed ER, with sign-on bonus based on eligibility and a mission to deliver exceptional care.

Requirements include Kentucky or compact RN license and an associate's degree in nursing; bachelor's degree preferred. ACLS/BCLS/PALS and NIHSS within 90 days of hire are expected.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire
• Education: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licenses: Must have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

The ER is a 7-bed unit that provides direct patient care to critically ill adult patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kentucky or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
