Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking a pharmacist to deliver quality and cost-effective drug therapy to our customers. The role includes clinical pharmacy functions, patient monitoring, and collaboration with the clinical team to ensure safe medication use.

The pharmacist will review orders, monitor dosing and interactions, and supervise technicians in dispensing medications and IV solutions. This on-site night shift position offers opportunities within a leading health system.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
• PGY-1 residency (or 3 years hospital pharmacy experience).
• Board certification preferred.

About This Position

The pharmacist will provide quality, timely, and cost-effective drug therapy to our customers. Performs clinical pharmacy functions, including customer monitoring and consulting with other clinical team members. Reviews medication orders for appropriateness, dosing, frequency, potential interactions and possible allergic reactions. Oversees the dispensing of medications and intravenous solutions by pharmacy technicians.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree
• PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency (or 3‑years hospital pharmacy experience)
• Preferred: board certification

Experience

• Completion of an ASHP‑accredited PGY1 residency program (or 3‑years pharmacist hospital experience)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Computer and keyboard skills
• Excellent problem solving & communication skills (verbal & written)
• Adaptable to changing priorities, tasks, and work schedules to meet customer needs

Licensure/Certification

• Licensed by MN State Board of Pharmacy

Job Details

• Hours per two week pay period: 70 hours
• Shift: 7/70 Nights, 10 hours each
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Remote or On-site: On-site
• FLSA Status: Exempt
• Benefit Eligibility: Health insurance benefits are available for this position. North Memorial Health offers multiple health plans based on work group eligibility.
• Salary Range: PEPOM ($74.98 - $86.54) based on experience.
• Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
• Employment Sponsorship: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
