You will supervise prescription processing, ensure accuracy, educate patients, and support ongoing professional development while maintaining regulatory standards and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• State licensure as a pharmacist.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacotherapy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and patient counseling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Proficiency in pharmacy software and EHR.
• Commitment to ethical standards and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Pre-check prescriptions before fill to ensure accuracy and appropriateness (PV1).
• Check of filled prescriptions according to legal and professional standards (PV2).
• Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication use, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Train/mentor new members and provide regular feedback on performance and expectations.
• Guide staff at end of shift in preparing the facility for shift change to ensure a tidy and well-stocked workspace.
• Maintain accurate records of medications dispensed and patient profiles.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring medications are stored properly and securely.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with healthcare laws.
• Stay informed about new drugs, treatments, and medical research.
• Engage in continuing education to maintain licensure.
