Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Alle Kiski in Natrona Heights, PA is seeking a Pharmacist to support hospital pharmacy operations. The role covers drug distribution, central operations, IV admixture, and clinical support in a high pace setting.

You will maintain drug supplies, educate patients at discharge, participate in training, monitor therapies, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. On-site, full-time, with weekend on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state.
• BLS if required by state.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate pharmacy drug supplies at all times.

Schedule: Full Time, 32 hours per week, weekend on callCompensation: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
