Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Natrona Heights, PA, is seeking a Pharmacist for a full-time, 32-hour week position with weekend on-call requirements. You will ensure knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture, provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital setting, maintain drug supplies, and educate patients on discharge medications.

A PharmD or BS Pharm with residency is preferred; state licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Requires state licensure as a Pharmacist.
• BLS if required by State.
• PharmD or BS Pharm with hospital residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on medications to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Compensation: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour, based on experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
