Job summary

Aquent is seeking a Pharmacist for an in-person, patient-facing role in Rhode Island. You will support the Pharmacy Manager, supervise staff, and ensure safe, compliant medication delivery while providing excellent customer care.

You will lead workflow optimization, participate in patient care programs, and foster a compassionate team culture to improve community health outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Active Rhode Island Pharmacist license required.
  • Immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • No DEA Excluded Parties List status.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Pharmacy Manager in guiding Pharmacy Technician staff and fostering team growth.
  • Oversee all facets of pharmacy operations focusing on patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, manage inventory, and support profitability and loss prevention.
  • Optimize workflow to ensure smooth, efficient pharmacy operations.
  • Drive patient health through proactive patient care programs and services.
  • Demonstrate empathy and provide compassionate care to patients and caregivers.
  • Lead teams in implementing solutions to achieve defined goals in a community setting.
  • Promote ongoing professional growth and collaboration to improve patient outcomes.

Job description

To be considered for this role, you must:
  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position
  • Have a current and valid Pharmacist’s License for the State of Rhode Island
  • Be able to work scheduled shifts between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in guiding and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, fostering their growth and maximizing team strengths.
  • Oversee and manage all facets of pharmacy operations, ensuring patient safety, adherence to regulatory requirements, and high-quality assurance standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, manage inventory efficiently, and contribute to the financial profitability and loss prevention efforts of the pharmacy.
  • Optimize workflow management to ensure smooth and effective pharmacy operations.
  • Drive patient health through the proactive adoption and management of patient care programs.
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues, leading with a heart-centered approach.
  • Identify and capitalize on critical business opportunities, contributing to innovative solutions that drive growth and enhance performance.

  • Cultivate a positive team culture characterized by caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
    Working Conditions
    • Scheduled shifts will be between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
    • You will be scheduled 8–10 hours per day, 4–5 days per week.
    • You will not be asked to open or close the pharmacy.
    • You will never serve as the sole pharmacist on duty.
    • This is an in-person, patient-facing role.
    Qualifications
    • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
    • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
    • Ability to attain Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
    • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
    • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED Required.
    • Acquired knowledge and ability to drive healthy outcomes and contribute to a differentiated patient experience.
