Job summary

Staff Today Inc. seeks a Pharmacist–Sacramento,CA to join our healthcare team. Local pay: $53.50/hour (W2); typical shifts M-F 7:30-16:00 or 8:00-16:30, in a professional setting with focus on accuracy and patient care.

You will review orders, dispense meds, counsel patients, monitor therapy, collaborate with clinicians, and supervise staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid California Pharmacist License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of pharmacist experience.
• BLS for Health Care Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Provide PSV from licensing board if required.
• Submit current required certifications and compliance docs.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy.
• Dispense prescription medications per regulations.
• Counsel patients on use, side effects, and interactions.
• Monitor therapy and suggest adjustments.
• Collaborate with physicians to optimize care.

Shift Details

• M-F 0730-1600 or 0800-1630

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Dispense prescription medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Monitor medication therapy and recommend adjustments when appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.
• Manage medication inventory, storage, and controlled substances.
• Promote patient safety through medication management and clinical interventions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid California Pharmacist License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year’ experience.
• American Heart Association BLS, for Health Care Providers.
• Additional certifications may be required.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
