Job summary

Actalent is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a contract-to-hire role based out of West Chester, Ohio. You will verify prescriptions and medication orders, support technicians, and help manage workflow while ensuring compliance with regulations in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

This onsite position offers opportunities to contribute to quality assurance, inventory control, and specialty services, including IV operations where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in good standing
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Leadership mentality with a willingness to mentor and support team members
• Long-term care, closed-door, specialty, or hospital pharmacy experience is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support pharmacy technicians and provide guidance as needed
• Assist with workflow management and day-to-day pharmacy operations
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, facility staff, patients, and caregivers
• Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
• Support inventory control and pharmacy operations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
