Job summary

Mixlab is recruiting a Compounding Pharmacist to create customized, high‑quality medications for veterinary patients from start to finish. You will compound non-sterile preparations, fill prescriptions, label, and package medications while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will counsel clients, collaborate with the Care and development teams, and support veterinary partners in a fast‑paced startup environment where precision matters and quality is paramount.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in WI in good standing.
• Formal training in non-sterile compounding.
• 2+ years non-sterile compounding experience; veterinary preferred.

About The Role

As a Compounding Pharmacist at Mixlab, you’ll play a hands‑on role in creating customized, high-quality medications for our veterinary patients from start to finish. You’ll compound a variety of non-sterile preparations, including capsules, tablets, oral liquids, and topical medications, while ensuring exceptional accuracy, quality, and compliance with USP and New York pharmacy regulations. You’ll also counsel clients, collaborate across teams, and support our veterinary partners and Care team as needed, making this an ideal opportunity for a pharmacist who is passionate about compounding and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Compound non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations, including but not limited to the compounding of capsules, tablets, oral liquids and topical medications.
• Compound medications, fill and label prescriptions, and package medications - in other words, full-service compounding from chemicals to packaging.
• Counsel clients on different medications, needs, usages, and instructions.
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with USP 795, State Board of Pharmacy regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the development team to provide guidance on product features, participating in sales activities such as calling or visiting veterinary clinics.
• Perform Care Pharmacist duties on an as needed basis

About You

• You are a licensed pharmacist in WI, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy
• You have formal training in non-sterile compounding or equivalent experience
• You have 2+ years of experience in non-sterile compounding, with preference given to veterinary compounding experience
• Your attention to detail is impeccable, and you have incredibly high standards for accuracy and quality
• You are collaborative and have a desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment
