Job summary

Centra Rehabilitation Hospital, a 50-bed inpatient facility, is part of Lifepoint Health, delivering compassionate care in Lynchburg, VA. We seek a pharmacist who thrives in a hospital setting to verify orders, manage medication processes, and supervise Pharmacy Technicians.

You will steward the computerized system, oversee storage of medications, and support crisis intervention to ensure patient safety. Applicants must graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy, hold a current state

Qualifications

• Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Must hold a current state license to practice pharmacy.
• Two years' experience in hospital pharmacy is preferred.
• BS Pharm or Pharm D degree required, accredited clinical residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician medication orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitors and evaluates the six critical processes of medication management; determines risk points and is an active participant with physicians and clinical staff in continuous quality and performance improvement.
• Verifies and approves the work of Pharmacy Technician(s).
• Responsible for the management and utilization of the computerized pharmacy system.
• Orders and stores medications, keeping them safe and effective.
• Demonstrates appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation skills. Acts as member of team with crisis situation occurs, assisting others to ensure patient safety.

Centra Rehabilitation Hospital is a brand-new 50 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility that recently opened. We offer high-quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. How You'll Contribute

A Pharmacist who excels in this role:

What We're Looking For

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Additional requirements include:

• BS Pharm or Pharm D degree required, accredited clinical residency preferred.


• Must hold a current state license to practice pharmacy.

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
