Job summary

UF Health seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide and support pharmaceutical care, including medication dispensing, drug-related problem resolution, and education to patients. This role collaborates with medical and nursing staff across all age groups and participates in improvement initiatives and academic activities.

The candidate should have a PharmD or Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, with Florida licensure or eligibility within 90 days, and up to supervisory responsibility for 3–18 technicians.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy -OR- Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy).
• Preferred Education: Post-graduate residency training
• Necessary Skills: Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products. Fine motor coordination and manual dexterity. Computer skills and accuracy in calculations. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Supervision of technician employees.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida -OR- Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer
• Required Experience: Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience
• Preferred Experience: Experience and/or advanced training in specific practice area.
• Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees
• Age of Patients Served: All age groups

To participate in the performance improvement, academic programs and clinical research activities of the department. To serve as a liaison to the medical and nursing staff.
