Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital -Charleston (inside CAMC Memorial) seeks a Pharmacist for full-time, on-site role. You will ensure drug distribution and IV admixture support, provide clinical guidance in a fast-paced hospital environment, and educate patients on their medications at discharge.

Qualifications

• Requires current state licensure and licensed pharmacist.
• Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations and IV admixture is preferred.
• BLS may be required depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of all pharmaceutical services including drug distribution and central operations.
• Provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Ensure adequate drug supplies and educate patients on medications at discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
