Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is a premier award-winning hospital seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The role supports a broad range of services including General Medicine, ICU, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology and peri-operative care.

Applicants must hold a current state Pharmacist license; a B.S. in Pharmacy is required with a Doctor of Pharmacy preferred.

Qualifications

  • Current state Pharmacist license.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of the pharmacy department to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital.
  • Support care across General Medicine/Surgical, ICU, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification preferred

Facility Specific Requirements (as applicable required):

  • APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $62.00 to $83.44. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
