Job summary

Consonus Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacist to join our closed-door long-term care team serving nursing facilities and their caregivers in Iowa. You will ensure compliance with laws, supervise technicians, and perform medication assessments and drug monitoring. The role coordinates deliveries, answers facility questions, and supports drug procurement.

Qualifications include a Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy and an active license; strong clinical and IV skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in state(s) practicing.
• Strong clinical and IV skills are required.
• Experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Knowledge of drug procurement and coordination of deliveries.
• Familiarity with controlled substances laws and policies.

Consonus Pharmacy is a closed-door long-term care pharmacy specializing in the needs of nursing facilities, assisted living residents, and their caregivers. We are currently hiring a Pharmacist to join our team!

As the Pharmacist your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring compliance with appropriate Pharmacy laws and standards of practice
• Supervising pharmacy technicians as needed
• Conducting medication assessments, paperwork for drug monitoring
• Coordinating deliveries to ensure timely arrival of medication & supplies
• Answering facility’s drug-related questions/concerns, assisting in solving problems
• Assistance in drug procurement; processing orders
• Maintaining awareness of current controlled substance laws and regulations, along with Consonus Pharmacy policies and procedures.

Qualifications
