Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operator in Birmingham, AL. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from industry experts in a science-driven work environment. The position is full-time, long-term contract, offering a stable and secure opportunity with the possibility of direct hire.

$25/hr + Benefits + PTO + Holiday Pay

Mon – Fri 8a-5p

What you need to qualify for this position:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology (preferred)
• 0–2 years of relevant industry experience (as determined by management)
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with data entry
• Fundamental math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); able to perform basic calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed written procedures
• Understanding of general laboratory glassware and its proper use
• Introductory knowledge of system controls and data logging software

What you will do:

• Perform aseptic techniques with minimal supervision
• Execute development, engineering, GLP, or GMP batch records accurately under supervision
• Prepare complex, multi-step chemical solutions with oversight
• Assemble and disassemble equipment used in processes such as extrusion, microsphere formation, liposome production, and polymerization
• Operate and adjust PLC-controlled equipment as instructed in batch records
• Use basic hand tools to support equipment operation
• Assist in in-process environmental monitoring
• Support Installation and Operational Qualification (IOQ) execution
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas
• Identify opportunities for improvements in maintenance, calibration, or facility/equipment upgrades
• Ensure adherence to company quality systems as outlined in the Quality Manual
• Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
• Review chemical hazards using MSDS and comply with cGMP and safety reporting protocols during batch production
