Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions, based in Bloomington, IN, seeks a detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to develop and manage a workable production plan aligned with customer needs and business goals.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to balance capacity, demand, and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates are analytical, organized, and capable of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience; contract manufacturing a plus.
• Solid understanding of business operations and strategic planning.
• Strong ability to design reports, analyze data, and present findings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while following established guidelines and processes.

Responsibilities

• Generate and present short-term capacity and resource analyses.
• Evaluate intermittent demand and customer requests to identify opportunities for scheduling filling and finishing activities.
• Maintain a balanced 90-day manufacturing plan focused on labor and equipment utilization, while accounting for preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to develop and maintain an executable production plan.
• Open and manage work orders in the ERP system.
• Coordinate start dates for Filling and Finishing work orders to ensure smooth material flow.
• Prepare monthly performance metrics (e.g., Schedule Adherence, S&OP, budgeted volume).
• Manage and maintain master data including project codes, routings, turn/run times, and other planning elements.
• Coordinate internal non-product production activities, including scheduling, work order management, and reporting.
• Serve as the system owner for the internal Compass database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Create and maintain the shipping schedule.
