Job summary

PL Developments, LLC, Lynwood, CA, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will ensure efficient production, compliance with quality standards, and safety regulations while coordinating with QA, Planning, and maintenance teams.

The role requires leading teams, prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines, and driving continuous improvement in filling and production processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, progressive experience in OTC pharmaceutical production, people management and supervisory skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• FDA – GMP and GDP knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead while raising the bar for quality and productivity.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• University degree or college diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of experience as a supervisor.
• Familiarity with manufacturing/filling processes and equipment.
• Strong familiarity with cGMPs and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach supervisors and team leads to achieve production goals.
• Plan materials flow through departments and communicate with all levels to meet deadlines.
• Monitor key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with QA to resolve quality issues in filling/production components.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Planning to resolve scheduling issues.
• Supervise resources (e.g., temporary labor) to meet daily goals.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Enforce company policies without creating friction.
• Respond to oral and written communications, including incident reports and vacation requests.
• Share ideas with supervisors and management.
• Work with QA, Maintenance, Warehouse, and compounding personnel.
• Ensure effective communication with all levels of management.
• Empower subordinates to carry out delegated responsibilities.
• Support general safety, food safety and pharmaceutical compliance requirements.
• Back up Shift Lead/Shift supervisor when absent.
