Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services in Williamsport, PA is seeking a maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and support process improvements. Shift is Mon-Fri 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM; travel about 5% per year; strong safety and quality focus required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training in pneumatics/hydraulics, electrical, mechanical studies or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of all manufacturing equipment during production and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Interpret OEM manuals, electrical diagrams, hydraulic drawings and mechanical drawings.
• Fabricate shields and guards; ability to bend, cut, shape and weld as needed.
• Diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, test and adjust equipment.
• Interface with manufacturing engineering to implement process improvements.
• Use hand and power tools, digital meters and material handling equipment to perform duties.
• Available to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends; share call duties.
• Comply with West HSE and 6S programs; maintain neat, safe work environment.
• Participate in training to improve knowledge of incoming machinery.
• Set up and install incoming/new equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
