Civica, Inc. in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Supervisor Packaging to lead day-to-day packaging operations, run all packaging equipment, and support new product introductions on the packaging lines in a fast-paced GMP environment.

The role includes supervising staff, coordinating shift coverage, conducting trainings, reviewing batch records, addressing deviations, and partnering with Maintenance, QA, and R&D to ensure on-time production and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, packaging operations experience preferred.
• 2 years supervisory experience in a GMP manufacturing environment with associate degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge.
• Strong writing and documentation skills.
• Experience in a process improvement environment, including change management, optimizing process flow, and participating in Lean/Six Sigma project teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Packaging team to execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet operations objectives.
• Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate current events, issues, and solicit team feedback.
• Monitor Packaging team productivity and resolve immediate production needs to facilitate efficiency; coordinate breaks to minimize downtime.
• Manage staffing requirements and overtime to satisfy production needs; monitor inventory of packaging supplies.
• Review batch records and manufacturing documentation to identify and address quality issues; support deviations and investigations.
• Assist R&D and MSAT on new product introductions and tech transfer activities; support manufacturing procedures and training materials.
