Job summary

Civica at the Petersburg, VA site is seeking a Supervisor Packaging to lead daily packaging operations and support start-up activities for pharmaceutical production. The role involves running packaging equipment, supporting new product introductions, managing training and deviations, and collaborating with R&D/MSAT for tech transfer projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in GMP manufacturing, strong documentation skills, and experience in process improvement and Lean/Six

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
• 2 years’ supervisory experience in a GMP manufacturing environment with associate degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge.
• Strong writing and documentation skills.
• Experience in a process improvement environment, including change management, optimizing process flow, and participating in Lean/Six Sigma project teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Packaging team to execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet operations objectives.
• Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate current events, issues, and solicit team feedback.
• Monitor Packaging team productivity and resolve immediate production needs to facilitate efficiency.
• Coordinate overtime scheduling as needed and manage staffing to meet production needs.
• Monitor inventory of packaging supplies and report quality issues to prevent interruptions.
• Provide training and ensure documentation is up to date and compliant with cGMP.
