Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking an associate scientist to join the Smart Lab within Drug Product Development in Groton, CT. The role focuses on developing automation and technology processes for pharmaceutical candidates in laboratory settings.

The candidate will prototype and deploy robotic systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to data-rich experimentation and digital tool adoption to drive automation goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent with 2-4 years in a lab setting.
• Strong coding with C/C++ or Python.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype and develop laboratory automation solutions for formulation development.
• Assist with design and testing of modular hardware to enable data-rich experimentation.
• Enable use of digital tools for machine learning and self-optimization to enhance automation goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement automated equipment and develop novel lab solutions.
• Partner with scientists and engineers to deliver DPD workflows for solid dosage form development.
• Implement a robotic control system for orchestration of multiple workstreams using modular lab equipment.
