Job summary

Stage 4 Solutions is seeking a Lab Operations Technician- Pharma for a global client in Summit, NJ. The role supports Critical Reagent and Raw Material labs, maintains inventory, manages samples, and ensures materials are available for QC testing in compliance with cGMP, GDP, and EHS.

This 40-hour/week, 12-month on-site contract includes health benefits and 401K. Candidates should have a high school diploma with relevant experience, or an allied degree, and familiarity with SAP and Microsoft

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of lab operations, manufacturing, inventory, or sample management experience.
• Associate/Medical Technical degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology, or related scientific discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory for Critical Reagent and Raw Material labs, including cycle counts, material stocking, reconciliation, inventory organization, and shortages/escalation.
• Support sample management activities, including receipt, labeling, storage verification, sample movement, and chain-of-custody support.
• Coordinate and perform pack out activities for samples and materials with proper documentation, labeling, temperature control, and safety.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, work areas, carts, storage locations, and shared spaces per procedures.
• Support routine lab walkthroughs to identify housekeeping, inventory, safety, documentation, labeling, storage, or compliance gaps.
• Participate in EHS walkthroughs and safety readiness activities (PPE, waste handling, storage, spill kits, sharps)
• Record inventory, sample handling, cleaning, pack out, and walkthrough information in GDP-compliant systems.
• Collaborate with QC, EHS, and cross-functional partners to ensure readiness for testing, audits, inspections, and daily operations.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, gowning, waste disposal, and site policies in cGMP areas.
• Perform other duties to support QC lab operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
